NYC

Journal Entry: Wed Nov 21, 2007, 9:42 PM
New York City. It was definitely not what I expected. It was not Hollywood. It was not anything like on TV or in the movies. But it was still wonderful. I had never been to such a huge city before, and we only got to go to a few places. We started out in Manhattan. Shopping at Macy's was kinda scary, actually. They had some kind of huge sale going on, and it was wall-to-wall people. We mostly just walked around and looked at stuff. We bought a few small things from some street vendors; I got a hat and some headphones for my zune. Also one of those tacky I <3 NY shirts (I love it, and have already worn it twice since we got back X3) Oh, and the window displays with so cool They were all Miracle on 34th Street.
After Manhattan, we went to Queens for a while, in a part of the city called "Little Jamaica". We shopped there for a while too. Great deals. I must have gotten three shirts for, like, four dollars. Good quality too.
After that we went to Harlem and had dinner at this wonderful restaurant called...um...I think it was called Sherry’s. The food was so. f**king. good. I have never had food that good before in my life. There were these garlic mashed potatoes that I just couldn't stop eating.
Anyway, a lot more than that happened, but my fingers are starting to go numb, so I'm going to stop typing now.
Hope everyone has a nice Thanksgiving, talk to you all later! <3

Oh, and *sings* Christmas is cooooooming! <-Favorite holiday

NYC and Death Note

Journal Entry: Sun Nov 11, 2007, 11:05 PM
Ha! Didn't think I'd update this quick, did ya?! Well you were wrong!

Ahem. Right, Well, I have to tell everyone, I'm so excited! Why, you ask? Well, because next weekend, for the first time in my life, I am going to New York City! Oh, I can't wait! I want to see Macy's and Grand Central Station and Central Park and EVERYTHING! *sigh* Actually, I've wanted to go there ever since I was a freshman in high school. This is the first chance I've had, though. I must say, I'm spazzing pretty badly right now.

Course, that doesn’t diminish the fact that I'm from a fairly small town (comparatively speaking). The biggest city I've been to before this is Chicago. I'm a little nervous about being in such a large place, with so many people (and potential pick pockets). I guess I'm just going to have to be very, very careful about where I keep my purse, huh?

On another note (ha ha, "note") I have a new fandom. Of course, it shall never replace my beloved Kurofai, but it's quite good in it's own right. First of all, I've finally read Death Note. It's excellent. I have no idea why I hadn't read it before. And of course, being the odd little fangirl that I am, I also enjoy the tension between L (who is made of all kinds of win), and Light (Who actually frightens me a little bit). Actually, both of them frighten me, but that doesn’t make them any less interesting. *cough* or hot *cough*

Heh heh. Fandom, like sugar, in a way. Starts out just a sweet treat, but if you keep going too long, you become hyper and out of control.

...What? That random comment with no connetion to this journal entry at all made since to me...

Kaze, signing off. <3

PS. Yo, Fuushin. Are you coming home for Thanksgiving?

I promise I shall reply to every message I missed (Or I'll at least try >_<;)
Wish me luck; it's going to take a while. *looks at inbox* 181 messages and 261 deviations to look at...

I'm Alive! I Swear! (I was reading HP7)

Journal Entry: Sun Jul 22, 2007, 10:28 PM
Ack! I'm so sorry to all of you who have posted things that I haven't had time to look at yet! I shall go and look at everything in my FriendsList right after I write this. Real life sort of caught up with me, and I haven't had time to scan or post anything, and so I haven't been on here much. *Is sad* I haven't even gotten to finish Tsubasa High Ch6 yet! Geh!

Right. Spoilers for HP7 ahead. Well, I've also just finished reading Harry Potter 7 and...wow. Just wow. I am very impressed with J.K.Rowling, I must say. She actually pulled it off without a hitch. Although I could have done without Fred and Lupin bighting the dust. That was almost too sad. And when it turned out the Dumbledoor (how the hell do you spell that?) had actually been preparing Harry to die...Augh...

But Snape. Ah Snape. I knew he had good in him. Didn't know if it would show or not, though. I'm really glad it did. I can't belive he was in love with Harry's mom, though. It's all so sad! *sniff* I wonder if he did start to care about Harry, though. It's a nice thought. I mean, that maybe he had something to help him through the time without the one he loved. That something being looking after Harry, and caring about him. I was so worried that he was going to turn out to be a truly bad guy, Snape.

I'm sad it's over, I've been reading those books since I was in fifth grade, I think. Who votes that JKR will break down and write a continuation?
